My love for movement started as a young child. I grew up practicing gymnastics, dance, cheer and then yoga. I've now been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching for 8 of those years. I received my first 200hr YTT in 2019, and since then have completed multiple yoga trainings accumulating to over 400hrs. During these years, I've wrestled with chronic neck pain and have been working to heal from early childhood trauma. In walking out my own healing, I discovered a love for the human experience and a readiness to walk with others on their path to healing. This led me to become a certified Somatic Practitioner for trauma. I look forward to meeting you and walking together.

What should I expect from a private movement session?
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and determine if a private session is right for you. You will be asked about your lifestyle, any injuries, and what you want to work on during your practice. Then each session after is tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Do I need a yoga mat?
Everything you need to practice yoga will be provided for every session, that includes a yoga mat and props. With that being said, you may wish to buy your own personal props once your practice is established.
I have a health problem, injury or disease, will yoga cure it?
Yoga is not a cure for injury or disease. Yoga is a mind-body practice that has been proven to reduce pain, stress and anxiety when practiced regularly. Injury, health problems and disease are complicated issues that can be influenced by many factors. If you have a health condition or injury you should seek the advice of a medical professional. However, yoga can positively benefit anyone at any stage of their life when adapted to the individual. Private yoga is yoga adapted to your needs and can support you through the process of recovery.
What is Somatic Trauma Therapy?
Somatic therapy, also known as somatic experiencing (SE), is an alternative therapy that focuses on the mind-body connection and the physical effects of trauma and stress. The goal of somatic therapy is to help release trauma from the body.
What are the benefits of Somatic Trauma Therapy?
Somatic therapy can help with a variety of issues, including:
Anxiety and panic attacks: Somatic therapy can help reduce anxiety and limit panic attacks by releasing feelings of urgency and loss of control.
Depression: Somatic therapy can help improve mood, increase energy, and strengthen the connection between the mind and body.
Stress, illness, and recovery: Somatic touch therapy, which involves gentle holding of the body, can help increase coping capacity and promote healing.
How does Somatic Trauma Therapy work?
Somatic trauma therapy offers techniques for clients to sense and regulate their own physiology and states of being. This includes building more internal and external resources, building trusting and co-regulartory relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper in the body, and given time and space to process the trauma. These somatic techniques unwind trauma and restore well being.
How long does Somatic Trauma Therapy take?
The length of therapy varies by individual and the severity of symptoms. Some people may notice improvements after a few sessions, while others may need months or years of therapy.
